I would check the current exhibition and choose a time to explore it carefully. If a piece held my attention, I would ask about its process and materials, or the idea that started it. I would like to look at it again after hearing those answers and notice what had changed in the way I saw it.
My invitation would be to arrive curious, without feeling that everything needs to make sense immediately. I would let a work set the pace of the visit. Sometimes a thoughtful question can be as valuable a memory as an image.
